- 12th with Biology/ Botany and Zoology.
- Must have passed the Tamil language as a subject at the SSLC level.
- Must possess two years of training in Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Male)/Health Inspector/Sanitary Inspector Course from a recognized private institution/Trust/University/Deemed University, including the Gandhigram Rural Institute training course certificate granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

Selection will be made based on the marks scored by the candidates in their academic and technical qualification(s) for the post of Health Inspector Grade II duly following the rules of reservation and communal rotation issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu and satisfaction of the qualification and other conditions stipulated in this Notification. There will be no oral test (Interview) for the post.
