Selection Process for TNEB Vacancies 2025

According to the selection method, only the best contestants will be selected based on the merit of marks & overall performance scored in competitive examinations, as shown below:-

• Online Written Examination (CBT): Maximum 100 marks
  • Assessor CBT Exam: The paper will be of objective-type questions in the Degree Standard (Arts/ Science/ Commerce). The paper will be in English, whereas some sections will be in Tamil.
  • AE CBT Exam: The question paper will be of an Objective type in the Engineering Standard. For Electrical Engg., it will be in English and for Mechanical and Civil, it will be in English as well as Tamil.
  • JA Accounts CBT Exam: The online exam paper will have objective-type questions from the Degree Standard (B.Com.) and it will be in English, whereas some sections will be in the Tamil Language.
• Verification of Certificates: It will be of a qualifying nature. For certificate verification, shortlisted candidates will get an invitation in the ratio of 1:1 as per the marks scored in the Written Exam and as per the Communal roster.

The TN Electricity Board Exam Department will appoint contestants by holding a Competitive Written Examination at various centres located in the state. After the completion of the application process, the board will announce the date, place and time for conducting the written examination. At last, the final selection is to be done by considering candidates’ marks and as per the communal roster only. Only qualified applicants in the written test will be able to appear for the interview.
